Friday 11.36am-Final Blog

So, everything is done. Signed sealed and delivered.
Publication-done
Website-done
Professionally Presented-Done
It is a great feeling to have ALL the work handed in and to not have to worry about it for the following week when it is all actually due.

A quick de-brief of the semester...
I think that I have learned a reasonable amount of skills that i have leaned over the semester, although a longer class and of course longer time in everything will have helped the whole class.
A 3 hour class ISN'T long enough to learn two programs and be able to know them inside out. Of course outside class time was required and most people had to do this in order to be able to present a final piece of work at the end of semester.
For me, having another class straight after this one was a pain, as i would not be able to stay back if i wanted to work on things further. Therefore I had to make sure i remembered everything from week to week other wise it was like i was learning again the next week. I found it no point in writing steps down because the next week or during the week when i looked at them they didnt mean anything to me, it was all like jibberish.
I think the assessments and the criteria's for this class worked very well with the design of the course and I think having to two assessments due at the end of the semester was a good idea as well, as we had a few classes to work on our own work as well.
In my previous weeks in my blogs i have stated that i work better with given a program and trying to work it out myself, and it is then when i cant work it out using a series of clicking processes as well as a series of undo's is how i work. So the weeks when you were talking stuart you probably noticed that i would race ahead of you to see what would happen. At the same time i did listen most of the time. Whilst saying this other people are different, who need to be told exactly what to do, and i think you have been able to cater for all of the different students.

Overall I think that this class was good. I see why this would be good skills to have but I think in my case wanting to be a visual arts teacher, i think this class would be more appropriate for a design student. I'm not saying that it was a waste of time, and i enjoyed my time in this class.
Thanks Stuart

Week 11-The last Class for me

Due to country placement today will be the last day of Digital Publications for me and a few others in the class, therefore i have to get my work done and finish it and hand it in TODAY which i will be very happy about.
I have finished my publication and my website i just have to work out now how to put it onto disk and have ALL the back up files from the last 10 weeks onto a disk, Stuart i think i will need your help.

Ill have a debrief session at the end of the class

Today im in class, knowing that Stuart isnt here and expected the whole class to still come in even though our teacher isnt here. I was wrong there wasnt 1. There are 5 of us in the class and we all seem to be doing some kind of work.

Today I'm aiming at getting my website completed and ready to be put onto disk next week with the help of you, Stuart. I'm almost there just a few touch ups to do...

the day i should be trying to get my website done

Today I should be trying to get my website done due to a few reasons
-Stuart not being here next week
-Me being away on country placement the week after next and not having the access to the macs and the programs that everyone else has during that time!
SO massive mission today to get as much done as possible!
I'm thinking it could be SUPER hard, because i think it is really hard to put everything together and working with photos from my own work and working out the colours, fonts ect.
ill report back in 2 and a half hours from now to let you know of my progress

first day of may-end of class

Today i have to say, i didnt really learn much, which is kind of a bad thing, but i did learn something which i suppose is a good thing. For our websites our pictures must be NO MORE than 72 DPI-what ever that means, i'm not sure but i'm sure ill manage.
I'm more of a play around with technology to get it to work kind of person rather than being told what to do or read up on how to do it. My moto is if you click on something and it doesnt work then press the undo button and try again.
So as for next week it will be a massive play around with photoshop and dream weaver and get on my way to success with my assessment, as i wont be able to have the extra time for the week that everyone else has due to having placement in the country which is 3 hours away for 3 weeks. I'm not going to be able to pop past for a couple of hours one night after placement to finalise little bits and peices. So my aim is to have it done and handed in in week eleven! might be hard but i will have to work EXTRA hard next week. Stuart you will probably be sick of everyone calling your name!
Until next week, and a week of HARD work
SEE YAHH

Its MAYY

How this year has flown already! We are almost at the end of the semester and im getting pretty excited! Yay
So our own websites today! yay
Images and the internet-to be honest i havn't taken any photos of my work yet just because i cant get motivated to drag out all my old stuff from in my wardrobe and actually get some good photos from what i already have!
So, getting my head around making a website i got it last week. I will have to play around  with this a bit mored today to refresh my memory.
